My name is Mary-Ann Ouillette, and I'm a self taught designer from Kamloops, B.C Canada. I've been designing jewelry since I was a child, and when my mother used to sell her own art at local farmers markets I would sell hand made beaded jewelry and wine glass charms because I loved making them. When I was a teenager, I began to dabble in sewing - creating outfits for dolls mostly. By the time I was 17 I was designing costumes to wear at events for The Society for Creative Anachronism a.k.a the SCA. The SCA led me to discover a passion for corsetry, and fashion history. It was through this that I discovered my true passion for sewing and designing modern, wearable apparel.

My other passion in life has always been writing. I think ever since I learned to read I wanted to write - and so that's what I do. One day maybe I'll be a published author for my fantasy and fiction works, but for now I'll just publish my own blog and see what happens.

I've been told that I have a lot of opinions. So I figure, along with my writing about my designs and creations and every day life, I can use this space to talk about my views of the world. I hope that you will find inspiration from my words and that even if you disagree with me you understand that I do not begrudge you your own opinions and beliefs. At my core I think everyone needs to form their thoughts for themselves. However I hope that by reading this you find a like minded person with opinions you can share and enjoy reading.
